Join us at the second of our 2018 Sunday Series events. The theme for the year at the Sarpy County Museum is “From Trading Post to Online Marketplace.” We will be exploring Sarpy County’s history of consumerism, marketing and advertising. This presentation will highlight the importance of the Omaha Stockyards to the early economy of the area. Gary Kastrick will be our speaker.

I am a great-grandson of Rumsey Saling. Descent is through his son Glen Robert Saling, and granddaughter Madeline Clara Saling Laux (my mother). I can give you more details, but the purpose of this message is to tell you that I am in possession of a four-piece pewter tea set, inscribed “Mr and Mrs Saling, 1857-1882”, obviously a silver wedding anniversary presentation.
I propose to donate it to the Museum, if you are interested. I can send photos, if you will give me an email address.
For now, please let me know if you are interested
