“RAGS OR RICHES” ROADSHOW READY TO REVEAL TREASURES

Local experts in antiques, coins and jewelry will be on-hand at the Sarpy County Museum April 27 at 2 p.m. for the “Rags or Riches” Antique Road Show. The public is invited to bring in historic, rare or unique items for review.

More than 120 people attended the museum’s inaugural roadshow event in 2013 and learned more about the value, condition and history of their family heirlooms.

“This is a great opportunity to uncover some truth about family treasures or even treasures rescued from the trash,” Ben Justman, museum director, said. “While you wait, you can also see some of the recent updates to the museum.” Talented museum volunteers have recently painted, reorganized and refreshed several of the period-era historical rooms and the general store area.

Museum members get in free to the roadshow with their membership card. Cost for non-members is $1 per item. Everyone will be allowed a maximum of two items. Please do not bring items that are too heavy to be carried. Light refreshments will be served during the event.
