Great Sarpy County Quilt Kick-Off and Pie Social @ Sarpy County Museum
Jun 2 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Pie socials are an American tradition and we’re bringing it back to Sarpy County! Join us for this fun community fundraiser and kick-off event for the annual Great Sarpy County Quilt Exhibit.
Pie, drinks and ice cream will be available for purchase. Tickets are $2 a slice and $1 for ice cream and drinks. We will have the parking lot blocked off with reserved spots for handicapped parking and public parking at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Bellevue, Nebraska just one block east.
Old-fashioned games will be set up for kids with crafts including make your own barn quilt, weaved cards and pie demonstrations. The Bellevue train de-pot and UP caboose will be open to explore. The museum will be open to view the over 100 quilts on display from area quilters. The annual Great Sarpy County Quilt exhibit is sponsored by the Braided River Quilt Guild.
The Pie Social supports the museums efforts in maintaining the museum, train depot and caboose. Come for pies, quilts, trains and more June 2nd at the museum!

I am a great-grandson of Rumsey Saling. Descent is through his son Glen Robert Saling, and granddaughter Madeline Clara Saling Laux (my mother). I can give you more details, but the purpose of this message is to tell you that I am in possession of a four-piece pewter tea set, inscribed “Mr and Mrs Saling, 1857-1882”, obviously a silver wedding anniversary presentation.
I propose to donate it to the Museum, if you are interested. I can send photos, if you will give me an email address.
For now, please let me know if you are interested
