I am a great-grandson of Rumsey Saling. Descent is through his son Glen Robert Saling, and granddaughter Madeline Clara Saling Laux (my mother). I can give you more details, but the purpose of this message is to tell you that I am in possession of a four-piece pewter tea set, inscribed “Mr and Mrs Saling, 1857-1882”, obviously a silver wedding anniversary presentation.
I propose to donate it to the Museum, if you are interested. I can send photos, if you will give me an email address.
For now, please let me know if you are interested
