Join the Sarpy County Museum on Sunday, October 30th at 2 p.m. as we hear from local author, Paul Hedren. This free event, held at the Sarpy County Museum, is open to the public. Hedren will be discussing the Great Sioux War and its’ opening battle at Powder River.

Originally from Minnesota, Paul spent 37 years with the National Park Service at various sites around the country as park historian and superintendent. Paul has authored over 11 books and recently published his latest “Powder River: Disastrous Opening of the Great Sioux War” in June of 2016. He’s previously written  about the era in three other books, including “After Custer, Loss and Transformation in Sioux Country” and “Fort Laramie and the Great Sioux War.”Please be sure to join us for our last Sunday Series of the year.
